Apostille Certification

An Apostille Stamp is a simplified procedure of international attestation. Consular Legalization
Consular Legalization is required when a document from Morocco is to be used in a non-signatory country. In this case, following authentication by authorities in Morocco, the document must be certified a second time in Morocco by the embassy representing the country where the document is to be used.

Germany
Exceptions to Apostille Convention (Documents required for Germany)
Germany has objected to the accession of certain States to the Apostille Convention (including Morocco), so that the Convention does not apply between Germany and Morocco. Moroccan documents required for use in Germany may also require additional attestation by the German embassy or by the Moroccan embassy in Berlin.
Certified Translation

Where Moroccan documents are to be used abroad and where the receiving country has a different official language, a sworn or certified may also be required. The online ordering service allows you to order birth certificates and full copies of birth certificates online, and to receive them by registered mail at the address of your choice. The service is open to natural persons of legal age registered in the civil status registers of Morocco.

The request for the certified copy of the family record booklet may be submitted directly by the person concerned to the registrar office which had issued the initial family record or by ordering it through a legalised proxy given to a third party), for the purposes of filing the application and withdrawing the certified copy of the family record book. In the absence of family ties, the request may be submitted to the Registrar office of Civil Status which issued the initial family record book through the consular services of the place of residence.
